Local information. Clear sources.

ClarkWA.org is an independent community guide to Clark County, Washington. It brings together public resources for housing, development, local government and the communities we call home.

This site is not operated by, affiliated with or endorsed by Clark County or any city government. For official county services, visit clark.wa.gov.

Where the information comes from

Our resource directory links to official county, city, transit and U.S. Census Bureau websites, alongside community websites. Resource descriptions and source links were reviewed on October 21, 2026. Agencies maintain the information on their own websites.

News headlines come from Clark County's news releases. These are county announcements, not comprehensive independent news coverage. Public meetings come from the County Council calendar. Dates, cancellations and agendas can change; check the linked official notice before attending. Meeting times are Pacific time. If an update cannot be retrieved, the page provides the official source directly.

Local guides

Our practical guides explain housing data and assistance, property records and permits, and public meeting information. The cities and communities reference, moving checklist and service finder help you turn that information into a next step. These are original navigation guides to the sources, with review dates and direct agency links.

Understanding the housing snapshot

The housing snapshot uses U.S. Census Bureau QuickFacts for Clark County, based on the American Community Survey's 2020–2024 estimates:

These figures describe a five-year survey period. Home value is not the same measure as a recent sale price, and the rent estimate is not a current asking rent. A single period does not show a market trend.

Finding the right local service

The community directory includes selected cities, the Town of Yacolt and unincorporated communities. Hazel Dell and Salmon Creek do not have separate city governments. Vancouver links to VancouverWA.net, Hazel Dell links to HazelDell.org, and Salmon Creek links to county neighborhood resources. Use the neighborhood association directory to find the association serving your address.

Maps and development tools link to public records maintained by the county. Confirm the jurisdiction for your property before applying for a permit. The optional OpenStreetMap view provides geographic context; official county GIS tools provide parcel and zoning information.

Landscape imagery is decorative and does not document a specific current project, property or event.

How this guide is prepared

ClarkWA.org publishes practical explanations of public information. Research and drafting use automated tools, with factual statements checked against the linked primary sources during preparation. These guides are not accounts of firsthand visits or interviews. We do not invent a reporter, local office, review rating or government endorsement.

Official county, city, state, transit and utility sources take priority for service instructions. We separate public data from our suggestions about how to organize a task. When an agency's pages conflict, we avoid repeating an uncertain rule and direct readers to its current service instructions. Review dates describe when sources were checked; they do not guarantee that an external page has stayed the same.

Each guide links to its sources so you can verify the information at the point of use. For fees, deadlines, eligibility, service availability and property-specific decisions, follow the responsible agency's current instructions. The service finder filters a fixed set of public links in your browser; it does not look up or collect your address.

Questions about an official record

Use the contact information on the linked agency's page for questions about its services, records or meeting notices. ClarkWA.org does not process permits, applications, public testimony or government service requests.
